Apple Expands Houston Operations, Bringing Mac Mini Production to the U.S.

HOUSTON — Apple announced a major expansion of its manufacturing footprint in Houston, including the first-ever U.S. production of the Mac mini desktop computer. The campus footprint will double, and a new 20,000 square foot Advanced Manufacturing Center is set to open later this year.

The expanded operations, which also include advanced AI server production, are expected to create thousands of jobs and strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities.

“Apple is deeply committed to the future of American manufacturing, and we’re proud to significantly expand our footprint in Houston with the production of Mac mini starting later this year,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
