Pratt & Whitney Invests $200 Million to Expand Columbus, Georgia Operations

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, announced a $200 million investment to expand its manufacturing capabilities and footprint in Columbus, Georgia. The project includes adding a seventh isothermal forging press at the Columbus Forge facility to support both commercial and military engine programs.
The announcement follows the recent completion of an 81,000 square foot GTF MRO expansion that boosted annual capacity by more than 25%. Since 2008, the company has invested more than $1 billion in the Columbus site.
“Since 2008, we have invested more than $1 billion to continue expanding the footprint and capabilities of our Columbus facility,” said Pratt & Whitney President Shane Eddy.
The expansion is expected to increase production of critical engine components.
