Wilmington PharmaTech Launches Delaware API Expansion

Wilmington PharmaTech announced a $50 million expansion of its Newark, Delaware, campus that will significantly increase active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing capacity. The March 23 project includes the addition of two new 10,000-liter reactor suites and is expected to more than double existing reactor capacity. Company officials also anticipate approximately doubling the site’s workforce upon completion. Managing Director Kent Payne said the expansion strengthens the company’s ability to serve biopharmaceutical innovators seeking development and manufacturing support.
