Soulbrain Receives State Backing for New Semiconductor Chemical Facility in Taylor, Texas

Soulbrain Gets $11.6M Texas Grant for Taylor Chemical Plant

Governor Greg Abbott announced on June 4 that the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund has extended an $11.6 million grant to Soulbrain RASA TX LLC for a new U.S. manufacturing facility and U.S. headquarters in Taylor, Texas.

More than $120 million in capital investment

The facility represents more than $120 million in capital investment and is expected to create 20 high-skilled jobs in its initial phase.

High-purity phosphoric acid for chipmaking

The facility will produce high-purity phosphoric acid used in advanced semiconductor fabrication. The Taylor location will supply critical materials to semiconductor manufacturers in the region, including Samsung, as part of a broader effort to build a domestic semiconductor supply chain.

Strengthening the Texas semiconductor ecosystem

Jon Park, President of Soulbrain, said:

“With this partnership, we will expand advanced materials capabilities in Texas, strengthen the domestic semiconductor ecosystem, and create high-value manufacturing and engineering opportunities for Texans.”
