IEM Plans $200M Power Equipment Factory in San Antonio, TX

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) announced on August 25 a $200 million investment in a new 1-million-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility at Brooks City Base in San Antonio, Texas.

San Antonio’s largest job-producing investment in two decades

The project represents the single largest job-producing investment in the San Antonio area in more than two decades and is expected to create up to 3,000 jobs by 2030.

Power for data centers and critical infrastructure

The facility will expand IEM’s production capacity for custom power distribution and control systems used across data centers, industrial facilities, utilities, and mission-critical infrastructure.

Putting down roots in San Antonio

Clayton Such, Chief Executive Officer of IEM said:

“IEM is excited to put down roots in San Antonio. The city’s skilled workforce, strong infrastructure and collaborative economic development environment made this a natural choice for our next phase of growth. This facility is an important step in our mission to support the growing demand for power distribution infrastructure across the country and to continue delivering reliable, American-made solutions to our customers.”
