Honeywell Aerospace Plans $500 Million Manufacturing Facility in Tempe, Arizona

Honeywell Aerospace plans to invest $500 million in a new manufacturing facility in Tempe, Arizona, to expand production capacity for commercial aviation and defense programs.
300,000 square feet by late 2028
The company expects the 300,000-square-foot facility to open in late 2028 and to create approximately 600 jobs over time. Construction is expected to support more than 1,000 local jobs.
Assure and Attune systems
The facility will manufacture components for Honeywell Aerospace’s Assure advanced actuation systems and Attune vapor cycle cooling subsystems, and will add complex machining capacity so more components can be made in-house.
Digital production
Honeywell plans to equip the plant with modular robotics, automated inspection, digital twins and an end-to-end digital thread. The added capacity will support existing programs, nearly $15 billion in new Control Systems program wins and defense technologies.
