Project Type: New Plant
Nvidia Supplier Aeternz Plans $1.3 Billion Semiconductor Testing Plant in Fort Worth, Texas
Aeternz Semiconductor Testing Corp., a Texas-based subsidiary of Taiwan’s King Yuan Electronics Co. (KYEC) and a supplier to Nvidia, will build its first U.S. manufacturing plant in south Fort Worth, Texas. The project carries a $1.3 billion investment commitment and is expected to bring at least 630 full-time jobs.
Largest investment in the I-35W corridor
The chip testing plant will be located at 273 W. Everman Parkway. According to a presentation to Fort Worth council members, the project would be the largest investment in that Interstate 35W corridor. Robert Allen, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, announced the deal at the group’s annual meeting on October 29, 2026.
A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing for the “AeternZ Factory Renovation and Addition” at the site lists an estimated cost of $300 million for the building renovation and addition work, covering 507,100 square feet, with a start date of October 28, 2026 and completion targeted for August 15, 2027.
630 jobs averaging $80,000 a year
Fort Worth offered Aeternz a 10-year abatement of 65% of city taxes on real and business personal property. In exchange, the company must invest at least $1.3 billion in the plant and create at least 630 full-time jobs by the end of 2031, with a minimum average annual salary of $80,000, and try to fill at least 30% of those jobs with Fort Worth residents. A city spokesperson confirmed on October 30 that the company agreed to those terms.
