Curtiss-Wright Invests $30 Million to Expand Nuclear Sensor Operations in Round Rock, Texas

Curtiss-Wright Expands Round Rock Nuclear Sensor Plant

Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced on October 29, 2026 a $30 million capital investment to expand its operations in Round Rock, Texas. The expansion will increase production of nuclear-qualified pressure and temperature sensors used in commercial nuclear reactors.

More capacity for nuclear instrumentation

The investment adds manufacturing capacity for critical temperature and pressure sensors and space for additional instrumentation and control products, including radiation monitoring systems. The project also includes an Advanced Innovation Center, a metrology lab and a project management office, and the company expects headcount at the site to grow.

Supporting existing and new-build reactors

Curtiss-Wright said the expansion positions it to meet growing demand from operators of existing reactors and from new-build nuclear projects as investment in reliable energy infrastructure and advanced nuclear technology increases.

Lynn M. Bamford, Chair and CEO of Curtiss-Wright said:

“This expansion and investment in our Round Rock operations positions Curtiss-Wright to meet growing customer demand for our critical temperature and pressure sensors supporting the safe and reliable operation of existing and new-build commercial nuclear reactors.”

Anthony Nigara, Senior Vice President and Division Lead, Curtiss-Wright Nuclear said:

“This capital investment underscores Curtiss-Wright’s commitment to continuous improvement, product quality, and long-term investment in the people and capabilities that support our customers.”
