Superior Huntingdon Composites Invests $4.4 Million to Restart Idled Fiberglass Line in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania

Superior Huntingdon Composites, LLC announced on October 28, 2026 a $4.4 million investment to expand its fiberglass product manufacturing operations in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. The project will create 26 new jobs over the next three years and retain 74 existing full-time positions.
Reactivating a line idled since 2012
The company plans to reactivate a third production line, idled since 2012, at its facility at 1200 Susquehanna Avenue in Huntingdon. The restart will bring renewed production capacity and long-term growth to the Huntingdon Borough plant, which has produced fiberglass reinforcements for decades.
State support
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is investing more than $1.8 million in the project through the Shapiro Administration and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
Governor Josh Shapiro said:
“Superior Huntingdon is a company with deep roots, a strong workforce, and a clear commitment to the future and I’m glad they’ve chosen Pennsylvania once again.”
Jason Takac, President and CEO of Superior Huntingdon Composites said:
“For over five decades, Superior Huntingdon Composites has been fiberizing glass in our Huntingdon facility. These investments will help us grow our Pennsylvania manufacturing platform, invest in advanced production capabilities, and reinforce the domestic supply chain to meet our customers’ needs with speed and reliability.”
