AGRU America Opens $65 Million XXL HDPE Pipe Plant in Fernley, Nevada

AGRU America Opens $65M HDPE Pipe Plant in Fernley, Nevada

AGRU America, Inc. celebrated on October 8, 2026 the grand opening of its newest pipe production facility in Fernley, Nevada. The $65 million plant is AGRU’s sixth manufacturing facility in the United States and will produce XXL high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes.

Doubling U.S. pipe production capacity

The new facility will double AGRU’s pipe production capacity in the United States and create more than 20 new jobs by the end of 2026. AGRU manufactures the largest solid-wall HDPE pressure pipes in the U.S., up to 138 inches (3,500 mm) in diameter, for water and wastewater pipelines, irrigation, mining, power plants, data centers and the hydrogen economy.

The plant sits across the street from AGRU’s original Fernley plant, which opened in 2008 and supports production for AGRU Lining Systems. Fernley will also host an expanded distribution warehouse for AGRU PE/PP sheet stock and PE fittings.

Meeting demand for water infrastructure

Natasha Arguijo, Vice President of Piping Systems at AGRU America said:

“We have seen a piping boom in the United States in recent years as municipalities move to rehabilitate or replace aging water and wastewater piping systems. I’m thrilled by this expansion and our growing production capacity to help meet demand for AGRU Piping Systems and XXL Piping Systems.”

Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo said:

“This $65 million expansion will strengthen Nevada’s manufacturing sector, create new jobs, and bring even greater investment to Northern Nevada.”
