Indra Group Opens $50 Million Radar Manufacturing Center in Olathe, Kansas

Indra Group USA celebrated in April 2026 the grand opening of its new manufacturing hub at the Great Plains Commerce Center in Olathe, Kansas. In October 2026, the company reported that the facility is fully operational, with production of radars and digital radios for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under way.
118,000 square feet, $50 million
The 118,000-square-foot facility represents a $50 million investment and is expected to create more than 200 jobs over three years, tripling Indra Group USA’s local workforce. It features advanced manufacturing processes and automated electronic testing for communication, navigation and surveillance systems.
Radars for the FAA
The plant complements Indra’s 40,000-square-foot facility in Overland Park and supports FAA contracts to manufacture next-generation air traffic surveillance radars. The Olathe site will also produce more than 20,000 Indra Park Air radios for the FAA and portable Tactical Air Navigation (MP-TACAN) systems for the U.S. Air Force.
U.S. Senator Jerry Moran said:
“Indra’s decision to expand its presence in the Kansas City region is a win for our state, bringing an estimated 200 new high-tech manufacturing jobs to the community.”
