PulseForge to Invest $20 Million to Expand Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing in Round Rock, Texas

PulseForge Plans $20M Chip Tool Expansion in Round Rock

The Round Rock City Council approved on October 22, 2026 an economic incentive agreement with PulseForge, Inc. that will result in at least $20 million in new investment and at least 60 new jobs with average annual salaries of $100,000.

Semiconductor packaging equipment

PulseForge is a Round Rock-based maker of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and digital thermal processing technology, focused on next-generation semiconductor packaging. Originally part of NovaCentrix, it operates a 56,000-square-foot facility at 400 Parker Drive with about 50 employees. The company is evaluating whether to expand its existing operations or develop a new manufacturing facility within Round Rock.

Investment milestones

The agreement requires at least $6 million in real property improvements and $14 million in business personal property, with $10 million invested by the end of 2029 and another $10 million by the end of 2031. PulseForge must add 20 jobs by the end of 2029 and 40 more by the end of 2031. The city will pay $600,000 in performance-based incentives. The company is also pursuing CHIPS Act and Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund support.

Jonathan Gibson, CEO of PulseForge said:

“Our expansion will build on that global leadership, creating high-skilled jobs and strengthening Texas’ role in the semiconductor supply chain.”
