Boom Supersonic Unveils $150 Million Superpower Superfactory in Centennial, Colorado

Boom Supersonic has unveiled its Superpower Superfactory, a $150 million manufacturing facility in Centennial, Colorado. The project is expected to create up to 500 jobs.
Two buildings, nearly 200,000 square feet
The approximately 200,000-square-foot facility at 8039 Chambers Road consists of two buildings that will produce components for the company’s Superpower natural gas turbines and Symphony aircraft engines. Superpower is a 42-megawatt natural gas turbine designed for AI data center power generation and shares technology with Boom’s supersonic engine program. The facility is already producing turbine parts and is expected to be fully operational in early 2027.
First turbine core completed
Alongside the factory, Boom announced that it has completed its first fully assembled advanced turbine core less than a year after program launch.
Blake Scholl, Founder and CEO of Boom Supersonic said:
“It’s time for a renaissance in energy and in supersonic flight. The same team, technology, and culture is tackling both flight and energy. Boom is now taking on the full vertically-integrated manufacturing challenge to accelerate production.”
Colorado Governor Jared Polis said:
“I am excited that Boom Supersonic is choosing to grow operations in Colorado, creating new jobs, supporting our economy and ensuring that Colorado remains a leader in the aerospace industry.”
