R/S-Godwin Truck Body Invests $17 Million to Expand in Floyd County, Kentucky

Truck equipment manufacturer R/S-Godwin Truck Body Co. plans a more than $17 million expansion in Floyd County, Kentucky. The project is expected to create 65 full-time jobs.

More dump body production

The investment includes additional land, manufacturing space and equipment to increase production capacity for the company’s dump bodies. Jobs will include welding, fabrication, CNC plasma and press brake work and material handling, with a target average wage of $35.84 per hour including benefits.

State incentives

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved a 15-year incentive agreement of up to $2.1 million under the Kentucky Business Investment program, plus up to $150,000 through the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act.
