PROOF Research Opens Manufacturing Expansion in Columbia Falls, Montana

PROOF Research Inc. has opened a new facility at its Columbia Falls, Montana headquarters, adding 12,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity. Montana Governor Greg Gianforte cut the ribbon on the expansion on October 28, 2026.

Carbon fiber barrels and rifle systems

Founded in Montana, PROOF Research manufactures carbon fiber and steel barrels, precision rifle systems and advanced composite stocks for the firearms, aerospace and defense industries. The company has more than 150 employees, and the new facility expands manufacturing to meet customer demand.

Greg Hamilton, Director of Special Projects at PROOF Research said:

“This is more than additional space, it’s the infrastructure we need to support the programs ahead of us, to serve the customers better, and keep developing the technology that has defined PROOF since day one.”
