JBS USA to Build Largest Bacon and Sausage Plant in Iowa

JBS USA has announced a $100 million investment to acquire and transform a 186,000-square-foot facility in Ankeny, Iowa, into its largest ready-to-eat bacon and sausage plant. The project is expected to create 400 jobs, boosting the local economy and reinforcing JBS’s presence in Iowa, where it already operates four production facilities. CEO Wesley Batista Filho highlighted the strategic importance of the expansion, stating, “Today’s announcement aligns with our long-term strategy of offering more value-added and prepared foods products to meet the needs of our customers and consumers. We are proud to grow our operations in Iowa.” The new facility will enhance JBS’s capacity to deliver high-quality, convenient food products to meet growing consumer demand.
