Brazos Midstream Invests $185M in Texas Gas Plant

Martin County, TX – September 23, 2025 – Brazos Midstream has broken ground on its Sundance II natural gas processing plant in Martin County, Texas, a $185 million project set to bolster the region’s energy infrastructure. The facility, designed to process up to 300 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, will increase Brazos’ Midland Basin processing capacity to 500 MMcf/d upon completion.

CEO Brad Iles emphasized the plant’s significance: “This investment provides mission-critical gas infrastructure and reliable takeaway capacity for energy producers across the Permian Basin.” The project is expected to enhance efficiency for regional producers while supporting local economies. Governor Abbott and local officials have expressed strong support for the initiative, which underscores Texas’ role as a hub for energy innovation.
