Richmond, VA – The LEGO Group has begun construction on a $1 billion factory in Chesterfield County, Virginia, set to open in 2027. The 1.7 million-square-foot facility, the company’s seventh globally, will create 1,760 jobs and meet rising U.S. demand for LEGO products. Designed to be carbon-neutral with a massive solar array, the plant will achieve zero waste to landfill. A $366 million distribution center in Prince George County, opening in 2027, will add 305 jobs. Governor Glenn Youngkin praised the project, noting up to $75 million in state incentives.
