Eos Energy Moves HQ to Pittsburgh, $352.9M Expansion

Battery storage innovator Eos Energy is making a major move by relocating its headquarters to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while committing to a $352.9 million investment to expand production of its zinc-based battery systems. This initiative is set to create 735 new jobs and boost the manufacturing of long-duration batteries essential for the energy transition.

CEO Joe Mastrangelo highlighted the strategic choice, stating, “This decision is built upon a strong industrial history, combined with a world-class university ecosystem. Pennsylvania is positioning itself at the forefront of America’s energy transition — enabling us to bring America’s battery to scale.” The expansion underscores Eos’s role in advancing sustainable energy solutions amid growing demand for reliable storage technologies.
