BorgWarner to Build $74.9M EV Plant in North Carolina

HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. – BorgWarner has announced a $74.9 million investment to build a 220,000-square-foot manufacturing facility dedicated to electric vehicle components. The new plant is expected to generate 193 jobs, with an average annual salary of nearly $79,000, supporting the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.

President and CEO Joseph F. Fadool expressed enthusiasm for the project, saying the company is “proud to continue to invest in the state of North Carolina to bring an exciting new technology to market and provide jobs to local residents.”

This initiative marks a significant step in advancing EV technology and economic growth in the region.
