Novartis Unveils End-to-End Manufacturing Hub in North Carolina

Swiss drugmaker Novartis revealed plans to establish a comprehensive end-to-end manufacturing hub in North Carolina’s Research Triangle region, investing in 700,000 square feet of new and upgraded facilities across Durham and Morrisville.

The expansion will create 700 new jobs and significantly boost the company’s U.S. capacity, particularly for gene therapy manufacturing and its commercial gene therapy pipeline.

CEO Vas Narasimhan described the initiative as “a commitment to American innovation and to the patients we serve,” noting that the hub will secure a more resilient U.S. supply chain and expand Novartis’ ability to deliver medical breakthroughs.
