Hovione Completes $100 Million Expansion, Doubles U.S. Spray Drying Capacity

Portuguese pharmaceutical services company Hovione has finished a $100 million expansion of its East Windsor, New Jersey campus, adding 200,000 square feet of space and two large-scale spray dryers—effectively doubling its U.S. spray drying capacity.

The upgrade strengthens Hovione’s position as a leader in spray drying technology for complex medicines.

CEO Jean-Luc Herbeaux said the investment “reinforces Hovione’s leadership in spray drying—a core technology platform where we have built extensive know-how and capabilities,” adding that the expanded U.S. footprint will help partners bring sophisticated therapies to patients more efficiently.
