Corning, N.Y. – January 27, 2026 – Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) and Meta Platforms, Inc. (Nasdaq: META) have announced a multiyear agreement valued at up to $6 billion. Under the deal, Corning will supply Meta with advanced optical fiber, cable, and connectivity solutions to accelerate the deployment of next-generation data centers across the United States.

The partnership aims to support Meta’s growing infrastructure needs for its apps, AI technologies, and ambitious AI systems. Corning’s latest innovations in high-density optical products are designed to handle the intense demands of AI-driven data centers.

To fulfill the commitment, Corning will expand manufacturing at its North Carolina operations, including a major capacity increase at its optical cable facility in Hickory, where Meta will serve as the anchor customer. The investment is projected to drive 15-20% employment growth in the state, supporting a workforce of more than 5,000 in optical fiber and cable production.

The agreement reinforces Corning’s role as a key domestic supplier of critical networking hardware for the AI boom.
