ERMCO Announces New Transformer Manufacturing Facility in Maricopa County, Arizona

Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative, Inc. (ERMCO), a leading producer of distribution transformers, has revealed plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Maricopa County, Arizona, located in Waddell at 15784 West Hatcher Road. The 566,121-square-foot site will focus on expanding three-phase transformer production and is expected to become operational in 2027. The project is anticipated to create more than 500 new jobs and bolster domestic capacity amid rising demand for electrical infrastructure. “Our goal is simple: power the grid and power progress,” said Tim Mills, ERMCO President and CEO. “This investment ensures ERMCO is ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.”
