BD Invests $110 Million to Expand Prefillable Syringe Production in Columbus, Nebraska

BD's $110M Boost for Nebraska Syringe Production 🇺🇸

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) has committed $110 million to enhance its manufacturing operations in Columbus, Nebraska, introducing production of BD Neopak™ Glass Prefillable Syringes. The expansion will support growing needs for biologics, GLP-1 therapies, and other injectable drugs while strengthening U.S. pharmaceutical supply chains. It is projected to create approximately 120 new jobs, with supply from the upgraded site beginning in mid-2026. This builds on BD’s prior investments in the region. “As demand for biologics and GLP-1s accelerates, BD is strengthening its American manufacturing footprint to support U.S.-based drug delivery innovation and supply chain resiliency,” said Patrick Jeukenne, Worldwide President of BD Pharmaceutical Systems.
