John Deere Announces Two New U.S. Facilities in Indiana and North Carolina

Deere & Company (John Deere) has revealed plans for two new facilities to expand its domestic manufacturing and supply chain infrastructure. The first is a $125 million state-of-the-art parts distribution center near Hebron, Indiana—a 1.2 million-square-foot facility designed to improve nationwide parts availability for agriculture, construction, turf, forestry, mining, and related equipment. It is expected to create about 150 jobs. The second is a $70 million excavator manufacturing factory on the company’s Kernersville, North Carolina campus, which will produce next-generation excavators previously built overseas (in Japan), marking a reshoring effort. This facility will also employ more than 150 people and leverage advanced technologies for the construction market. Together, the projects are projected to generate around 300 jobs and reinforce John Deere’s commitment to American industry. “Our investment in these new facilities underscores John Deere’s dedication to strengthening the backbone of American industry and supporting local economies,” said John May, chairman and CEO of John Deere.
