Accumold Starts $33.25M Micro-Molding Plant in Ankeny, IA

Micro-molding manufacturer Accumold has broken ground on a $33.25 million expansion of its campus in Ankeny, Iowa. The new building adds production capacity, manufacturing capability and supply security for customers that need precision micro manufacturing at scale.

Nearly double the production capacity

The approximately 53,000-square-foot fourth building is expected to nearly double Accumold’s production capacity and support around 150 new jobs. It will be used primarily for production, with room for new equipment and technology, expanded quality and tooling capabilities and additional technical and administrative resources. Completion is scheduled for February 2028.

Roger Hargens, President and CEO of Accumold said:

“This expansion gives us the space, technology and capabilities to keep growing alongside our customers. It is also an investment in Ankeny and in the people whose skill and commitment make our work possible.”
