Adeptus USA to Open $215 Million Wood Products Plant in Honea Path, South Carolina

Wood products manufacturer Adeptus USA will establish its first South Carolina operation in Honea Path, Anderson County. The $215.56 million project is expected to create 217 jobs.
Moulding, boards, shiplap and panels
The facility at 1205 Hamby Road, a former textile plant, will manufacture value-added pine products for building products and millwork applications, including painted and primed moulding, boards, shiplap and panel products. Production is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
Billy White, CEO of Adeptus USA said:
“We are proud to become part of South Carolina’s well-established wood products industry and look forward to building lasting partnerships throughout the region. This investment represents far more than a manufacturing operation — it reflects a long-term commitment to our employees, our customers, and the communities of Anderson County and the surrounding area.”
State support
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits and awarded an $850,000 Closing Fund grant to Anderson County for building improvements.
