Air Products Opens $70M Membrane Plant Expansion in Missouri

Air Products Membrane Solutions held a ribbon-cutting celebration on June 3 for the new $70 million expansion of its Missouri Manufacturing and Logistics Center in Maryland Heights, near St. Louis. It is the company’s largest ever investment in a single location.

Driven by biogas, hydrogen and nitrogen demand

The expansion is driven by growing product demand in biogas and hydrogen recovery applications, as well as customer needs for nitrogen in the aerospace and marine industries.

What the facility produces

Products manufactured at the expanded facility include the PRISM GreenSep membrane separator for bio-LNG production and the PRISM N2Sep membrane separator for nitrogen separation.

More than 250 jobs on site

The company has completed more than 70 hires to support the new facility, bringing total employment at the site to more than 250.

Meeting growing customer demand

Erin Sorensen, General Manager of Air Products Membrane Solutions, said:

“This expansion of our Maryland Heights facility enables Air Products Membrane Solutions to meet growing customer demand and help our customers work more efficiently and further our collaborative goal of building a cleaner, more productive world.”
