Array Technologies Opens $50 Million Solar Manufacturing Facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico

ARRAY Opens $50M Solar Tracker Plant in Albuquerque, NM

ARRAY Technologies celebrated the opening of a new $50+ million manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 9.

Three times the size

The 216,000-square-foot facility is roughly three times the size of ARRAY’s prior Albuquerque site and will support approximately 300 jobs across production, assembly, design, engineering and customer service.

Bringing components in-house

The plant lets ARRAY produce in-house components it previously sourced from outside suppliers. Several components made there qualify for the Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credit. The LEED-certified building includes roles such as stamping press operators, tooling and die technicians and process engineers.

Public-private support

The facility was supported by $2.5 million from New Mexico’s LEDA job-creation fund, $250,000 each from the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County, and partial property-tax abatement through an Industrial Revenue Bond.

Kevin Hostetler, Chief Executive Officer of ARRAY Technologies said:

“ARRAY was founded here in Albuquerque, and manufacturing has been at the heart of our company from the beginning. This investment reflects our confidence in the future of ARRAY, our commitment to our customers and our continued belief in American solar manufacturing.”
