BorgWarner to Invest $100 Million and Add 378 Jobs in Hendersonville, North Carolina

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein announced on May 26 that BorgWarner will add 378 jobs in Henderson County, investing $100 million in Hendersonville to vertically integrate its operations and produce critical components to support business growth.
140,000-square-foot addition
The expansion will add 140,000 square feet to BorgWarner’s current Hendersonville site. New positions will include technicians, logistics personnel and production staff, with an average annual salary of $67,047, above the Henderson County average of $54,118.
State incentive
The project is supported by a Job Development Investment Grant awarded to BorgWarner Industrial Solutions LLC, which authorizes potential reimbursement of up to $3,685,500 over 12 years. Over the grant term, the project is estimated to grow the state’s economy by $1 billion.

This is a separate expansion from BorgWarner’s earlier North Carolina EV plant project.
