Brazil’s TSEA Energy Selects Eden, North Carolina, for First U.S. Manufacturing Plant

TSEA Energy Picks Eden, NC for Its First U.S. Factory

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein announced on March 24 that TSEA Energy, a Brazilian manufacturer of energy equipment, will establish its first U.S. manufacturing plant in Eden, Rockingham County. The company says it will create 160 jobs and invest $25 million.

Voltage regulators for U.S. utilities

TSEA will manufacture voltage regulators, equipment that supports grid stability, power quality and system reliability, at a 160,000-square-foot facility serving utilities across the United States. The facility is expected to double TSEA’s global manufacturing capacity and will include an engineering and R&D center and a service center.

Wages and incentives

The annual average salary for the new positions will be $66,554, above the Rockingham County average of $46,154, for a potential annual payroll impact of more than $7 million. A performance-based grant of $300,000 from the One North Carolina Fund will support the project.

Beto Reynaldo, CEO, TSEA said:

“The agreement with the State of North Carolina represents an important step in our international expansion and reinforces our long-term commitment to the U.S. market.”

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein said:
