Brunk Industries Invests $31.7M in Freeport, PA Facility

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced on August 12 that metal forming company Brunk Industries will invest $31.7 million to expand operations in Armstrong County.

New 20,000-square-foot plant

Brunk currently leases 6,000 square feet at the Tech Center II facility at the RIDC Armstrong Innovation Park in Freeport. The company will construct a new 20,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on 20 acres in the Innovation Park, the first phase of a multiphase construction project.

64 new jobs

The project will create 64 new jobs over the next four years and retain 11 existing full-time positions. The Commonwealth is investing more than $4.1 million, including a $4 million PIDA loan and a $160,000 WEDnetPA training grant.

Precision metal stamping

Brunk is a contract manufacturer specializing in micro-precision, light-gauge metal stamping and complex component assembly for medical device, aerospace, automotive and defense customers. Its Freeport location, the Brunk Technology Center, focuses on die design, die components and rapid prototyping.

Scott Adams, Vice President of Operations at Brunk Industries said:

“We chose to expand in Pennsylvania because of all the great things they have to offer – including the concentration of the tool and die industry in the area, and the quality of the workforce in the region.”
