CP Industries Invests $21.7 Million to Expand Pressure Vessel Production in McKeesport, Pennsylvania

Pressure vessel manufacturer CP Industries will invest $21.7 million to expand its operations in McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The project is expected to create 78 jobs over five years and retain 115 existing positions.
New 25,000-square-foot facility
The company will build a new 25,000-square-foot facility and upgrade production. The expansion will more than triple composite cylinder output and increase steel cylinder capacity by 50%, serving alternative-fuel transportation and other markets. CP Industries, part of EKC International, makes large seamless steel and composite pressure vessels for compressed gases.
Michael Larsen, President of CP Industries said:
“We highly appreciate the support provided by the Commonwealth and other local agencies that allow us to continue our rich tradition in the McKeesport area. We are excited to expand two of our critical product lines and continue to prove that this region provides world class manufacturing.”
