INNIO Invests $300M+ in Waukesha, Wisconsin Engine Plant

INNIO announced on August 19 plans to invest more than $300 million in its Waukesha, Wisconsin facility and create more than 500 jobs over the coming years.

Engine assembly and testing

The company plans to add new engine assembly capabilities at the site. Planned investments also include an advanced engine testing facility exceeding 80,000 square feet, along with office and shop floor renovations.

Powering data centers

Engines produced in Waukesha power data centers, power grids and industrial operations across the United States. The expansion brings production closer to customers and strengthens INNIO’s ability to serve the fast-growing data center sector.

State support

The Waukesha campus spans approximately 1.7 million square feet, including nearly 890,000 square feet of manufacturing and operational space. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation authorized up to $6 million in performance-based state income tax credits for the project.

Roger George, CEO Waukesha, INNIO said:

“The expansion underscores our commitment to local value creation in the United States and to meeting the growing demand for decentralized energy solutions that are helping shape the future of energy.”

John W. Miller, secretary and CEO of WEDC said:

“It’s exciting that INNIO has decided to expand its presence here in Wisconsin.”
