Kerry Opens Coffee Extraction Facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Kerry, a global taste and nutrition company, officially opened its coffee extraction facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 30, 2026. It is the company’s first manufacturing site in the state.
At least 61 new jobs
When the project was announced in September 2025, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development said Kerry would create at least 61 new jobs in the Lehigh Valley. The state offered $516,880 in support, including a $316,880 Pennsylvania First grant and a $200,000 WEDnetPA training grant.
Hot and cold brew extraction
The facility develops natural coffee taste and flavor profiles using advanced extraction and concentration technologies. It features independent hot and cold brew extraction lines designed to scale as demand grows, producing coffee ingredients for ready-to-drink beverages, alcoholic drinks, ice cream and savory sauces, and significantly increasing Kerry’s overall coffee extraction capacity.
John Cahalane, President and CEO of Kerry North America said:
“The opening of our Bethlehem facility is an important milestone for our coffee business in North America. It brings additional capacity and advanced processing capabilities closer to customers on the East Coast, helping them respond quickly to changing consumer preferences across hot and cold coffee.”
