L3Harris Expands Satellite Integration Facility in Florida

L3Harris Technologies has completed a $100 million expansion of its satellite integration and test facility in Palm Bay, Florida, adding 94,000 square feet of manufacturing space to support the U.S. Space Force’s “Golden Dome” initiative. The upgraded facility, which includes a 12,000-square-foot clean room, will focus on producing next-generation satellites critical for national missile warning and defense. CEO Christopher E. Kubasik underscored the project’s significance, stating, “Accelerating the production of proven hardware for national missile warning and defense remains a priority as we align resources across the enterprise to support the President’s vision for America’s Golden Dome.” This expansion strengthens L3Harris’s role in advancing aerospace technology and national security.
