LITEON Breaks Ground on $919M McKinney, Texas Campus

LITEON Technology held a ceremonial groundbreaking in September for its new North American advanced manufacturing campus in McKinney, Texas, marking the start of buildout on one of the largest private investments in the city’s history.

600+ permanent jobs

The $919 million project, announced earlier this year, is expected to create at least 600 new permanent jobs in McKinney.

Converting two existing buildings

LITEON has purchased two existing buildings totaling more than 650,000 square feet in the Core5 Logistics Center and is beginning the buildout and installation of specialized equipment. The campus will support advanced manufacturing, engineering and research.

AI infrastructure supplier

Taiwan-based LITEON makes AI power management systems, battery backup units, racks and liquid cooling systems for AI data centers.

Michael Kowski, President and CEO of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation said:

“A few months ago we announced that LITEON had chosen McKinney. Today we are standing on the site watching it begin. That speed is not an accident. It reflects a company ready to build and a community ready to build alongside them.”
