Lonza Breaks Ground on Commercial Spray-Drying Pharmaceutical Facility in Bend, Oregon

Lonza celebrated the groundbreaking of a new commercial spray-drying pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Bend, Oregon, on September 14, 2026, further strengthening its U.S. manufacturing presence.

More than 80 new jobs

The facility is expected to create more than 80 new jobs and reinforce Central Oregon’s role in the development and manufacturing of innovative medicines.

Completion in 2029

The new plant will expand Lonza’s commercial-scale spray-drying capabilities for customers developing new medicines and is expected to be completed in 2029.
