Project Type: New Plant
Molins Opens First U.S. Plant in Elk City, Oklahoma, for Escofet Urban Landscape Products

Spanish industrial group Molins announced in October 2026 that it has opened a new production plant in Elk City, Oklahoma, its first factory in the United States. The plant will serve the group’s urban landscape business, Escofet, which until now supplied the U.S. market mainly through exports from Europe.
Eight best-selling products to start
The plant has about 3,000 square meters (roughly 32,000 square feet) of built space on a 2.4-hectare (about 6-acre) site. It will begin by manufacturing eight of Escofet’s most in-demand products in the United States and Canada, with capacity and product range expanding progressively with demand.
Up to 50 employees
The initial team was trained at Molins’ factory in Martorell, Barcelona. As activity grows, the company expects the Elk City plant to employ up to 50 people. Molins aims to raise North America’s share of its urban landscape revenue from about 6% today to as much as 30%.
The inauguration was attended by Elk City Mayor Micah Kilhoffer, Oklahoma State Representative Nick Archer and City Manager Tom Ivester.
Marcos Cela, CEO of Molins (translated from Spanish) said:
“The opening of our first production plant in the United States is part of our commitment to international growth. With this new factory we bring our production capacity closer to our customers, strengthen our competitiveness and continue advancing the development of our business internationally.”
