Novartis Breaks Ground on $280M RLT Site in Denton, Texas

Novartis broke ground on May 7 on its new 46,000-square-foot radioligand therapy (RLT) manufacturing site in Denton, Texas. It is the company’s first manufacturing facility in Texas and its fifth RLT site nationwide.

A $280 million facility

The $280 million facility is part of Novartis’ broader $23 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing and research. It is expected to create between 150 and 175 jobs in bioengineering, advanced manufacturing, quality, and operations.

Serving the southern United States

The site is expected to become fully operational in 2028 and will serve patients across the southern United States.

Delivering therapies at scale

Vas Narasimhan, CEO of Novartis, said:

“Radioligand therapy is transforming how we treat cancer, and expanded manufacturing is essential to delivering these therapies at scale. Breaking ground in Denton further strengthens our U.S. supply chain and helps ensure patients can receive these highly personalized treatments when and where they need them.”
