Nutrien to Relocate Global Headquarters from Canada to the United States

Nutrien Moves HQ to U.S. Amid Trade Concerns

Calgary, November, 2025 – Nutrien Ltd., the world’s largest producer of potash and one of the biggest fertilizer companies, announced today that it will move its global corporate headquarters from Calgary, Alberta, to the United States in 2026.

The decision comes amid mounting concerns over potential 25% U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods under the incoming Trump administration and a broader “capital exodus” from Canada. Nutrien stated the move will streamline operations, reduce trade-risk exposure, and position the company closer to its largest customer base. The new U.S. headquarters location is expected to be announced in early 2026, with Texas and Colorado cited as leading candidates.

The relocation is projected to bring several hundred high-paying executive and support jobs to the chosen U.S. city.
