Project Type: New Plant
Ohly Breaks Ground on $274 Million North American Campus in Eau Claire, Wisconsin

ABF Ingredients has broken ground on a $274 million North American campus for its subsidiary Ohly, a manufacturer of yeast-based and nutritional products, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The groundbreaking took place in mid-September, and Ohly shared the news on October 27, 2026.
A three-phase campus through 2035
The project sits on a roughly 70-acre site in Eau Claire’s Gateway Northwest Business Park, whose purchase the city council approved in April. Development will unfold in three phases and continue through 2035, eventually totaling about 157,000 square feet of Ohly facilities.
First phase: a spray drying facility
The first phase is a 22,000-square-foot spray drying facility slated for completion in spring 2028. Phase two will add about 100,000 square feet, and the third phase another 22,000 square feet. Once complete, the campus will serve as Ohly’s North American hub, complementing its existing plant in Boyceville, Wisconsin.
90 to 100 jobs
The full project is expected to create roughly 90 to 100 jobs.
Eau Claire Economic Development Specialist Kendall Williams said:
“Ohly’s first phase is scheduled to be operational by spring 2028 and should (create) about 30 new manufacturing positions.”
