Oleon Opens Esterification Facility in Conroe, Texas

Oleon, an oleochemical company and subsidiary of the French agro-industrial group Avril, officially inaugurated its new esterification facility in Conroe, Texas, on October 15, 2026.

Fully operational since September

The new esterification unit was completed, commissioned and became fully operational in September 2026. It adds to the site’s existing blending, filling, packaging, warehousing and logistics operations, making Conroe a fully integrated manufacturing platform.

Bio-based specialty esters

The unit will produce a broad portfolio of specialty esters and tailor-made formulations from renewable raw materials for lubricants, drilling and hydraulic fluids, environmentally acceptable lubricants, rheology modifiers, emulsifiers, electric vehicle fluids and thermal management solutions, serving the lubricants, oil and gas and industrial sectors.

Antoine Prevost, CEO of Oleon said:

“North America is a key market for Oleon, and this investment brings us closer to our customers. Local production allows us to respond faster to their needs, strengthen our service and work alongside them in developing high-performance solutions.”
