PPG Invests $70 Million to Expand Aerospace Transparencies Operations in Huntsville, Alabama

PPG announced in October 2026 a $70 million investment to expand its aerospace transparencies site in Huntsville, Alabama. The investment is part of a series of multi-year projects to increase production capacity for the company’s aerospace transparencies business.

A new 112,000-square-foot facility

The expansion includes the lease and build-out of a new 112,000-square-foot facility that will house production support functions, freeing up additional manufacturing space at PPG’s existing aerospace transparencies plant.

Cockpit and passenger windows

The projects will strengthen PPG’s ability to meet growing customer demand for aircraft cockpit windows and passenger windows across commercial, military and general aviation markets, while positioning the Huntsville site for future growth.
