Premix Group Opens Advanced U.S. Manufacturing Facility in North Carolina

Premix Group, a global leader in advanced materials, celebrated the grand opening of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Apple Creek, North Carolina, marking a significant step in bolstering the U.S. supply chain. Supported by a substantial $79 million investment from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the facility is designed to produce high-quality polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP)-based compounds and concentrates tailored for extrusion and injection molding applications. These materials are critical for industries such as diagnostics, medical devices, and other high-impact sectors. The strategic location in North Carolina enhances Premix’s ability to serve its U.S. customers efficiently while reducing reliance on overseas supply chains. CEO Jaakko Aho highlighted the broader mission, stating, “Establishing a manufacturing presence in the United States is about more than production—it’s about building resilient supply chains and trusted partnerships with our customers and communities.” The facility is expected to create new job opportunities and foster local economic growth, aligning with national efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities.
