Sellars' $15M Facility Boosts Milwaukee Economy

Sellars, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer renowned for its shop towels, paper towels, wipers, and absorbents, has invested $15 million to open a new 100,000-square-foot production facility in its hometown. The plant is equipped with two advanced manufacturing machines and will employ 20 people across roles in operations, maintenance, facilities management, and logistics. The facility specializes in producing high-quality DRC (double re-crepe) material, a proprietary technology used in Sellars’ nonwoven products, which are widely used in industrial, commercial, and consumer applications. This expansion strengthens Sellars’ position as a leader in the nonwovens industry while contributing to Milwaukee’s economic vitality through job creation and infrastructure development. CEO Tom Sellars expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Our goal with this new facility is to grow our business and build on the proprietary technology we have developed, ensuring we continue to deliver innovative, high-quality products to our customers.” The investment reflects Sellars’ commitment to innovation and its deep roots in the Milwaukee community.
