North Carolina
Siemens Energy is increasing manufacturing and servicing capabilities for large power transformers and resuming gas turbine manufacturing in Charlotte, producing gas turbine parts in Winston-Salem, and expanding grid technology work, engineering and R&D in Raleigh. It will add 500 jobs across the three communities.
Florida, Alabama, New York and Texas
In Tampa, the company is growing its facility to make more gas turbine blades and vanes. In Orlando, it is upgrading R&D at its Innovation Center, including an AI digital grid technologies laboratory with NVIDIA, and relocating its headquarters to Lake Nona. In Fort Payne, Alabama, it is expanding production of copper and insulation electrical components for generators, creating 120 jobs. Sites in Painted Post, New York, and Houston, Texas, that make and service compression equipment will be upgraded.
