SPR Opens $100 Million Agricultural Film Plant in Greenville, Texas

SPR Opens $100M Agricultural Film Plant in Greenville, TX

SPR, part of Spain’s Armando Álvarez Group, has officially inaugurated a $100 million agricultural film manufacturing facility in Greenville, Texas. The approximately 103,000-square-foot plant is SPR’s first U.S. facility dedicated specifically to agricultural products.

Six production lines

The facility will manufacture mulch film, greenhouse cover film, silage film and agricultural stretch film. Production lines are being brought online progressively; once fully operational, the plant will have six lines and an annual capacity of approximately 46.3 million pounds. It complements SPR’s existing facility in Rockwall, Texas, which focuses on industrial applications.

Pepe Álvarez, President of SPR said:

“We came to the United States in 2014, and over the years we have learned that being present in a market is not the same as being part of it. Greenville represents the next step in that journey: building a facility from the ground up, manufacturing here and continuing to grow alongside our customers and American agriculture.”
