TFI International to Redomicile from Canada to the United States

Montreal, November, 2025 – TFI International Inc., one of North America’s largest trucking and logistics companies, formally announced plans to change its legal domicile from Canada to the United States, effective February 2026.

The board cited “evolving North American trade dynamics” and the desire to eliminate tariff-related uncertainty for shareholders as the primary reasons. The company, which already generates over 70% of its revenue in the U.S., will maintain its operational headquarters in Montreal but will become a U.S.-domiciled corporation for tax and regulatory purposes.

TFI’s move follows similar redomiciling announcements from other Canadian firms and is seen as part of a broader wave of corporate migration south of the border.
